The Metechi has more upright and broader leaves than other garlic varieties.  Most strains of Marbled Purple Stripe have 4-5 cloves per bulb.  Our tastes shows that Metechi tastes fiery when raw, but has a nice garlicky finish.  Metechi is a late maturing garlic and scapes must be cut for good bulb size potential.
