Spanish Roja is a very impressive Rocambole.  Introduced to the Portland, Oregon, area prior to 1900.  Our tasting shows a rich, sweet, complex garlic flavor with a little after heat.  In some 50 tastings that Chester Aaron (2002) conducted around the United States, Spanish Roja generally ranked amoung the top two or three.
